Certification ensures that the contractor has been trained to install the shingles according to the manufacturer’s specifications, which is crucial for warranty validity and optimal performance. 

WSIB Compliance: The contractor must be compliant with the Workers' Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), which provides coverage in case of workplace injuries, ensuring legal compliance and protection for both the workers and the homeowner. 

Liability Insurance: The quote should confirm that the contractor has liability insurance of at least $1 million. This protects the homeowner from any potential damage to property or injury to persons during the roofing replacement project.
